there are lots of good recipes for whiskey slushes, but they require a good freezer. Maybe a dedicated dry ice cooler?
I 'spect you could make a good one camping in a hand crank ice cream maker, though.
I can't imagine that a commercially made one would be very good. They probably use those nasty Jack Daniels wine coolers.

At B'roo one year my buddy and I got one of those frozen lemonade cups. We had a couple empty cups and would scoop some of the frozen lemonade into it and top it with whatever bourbon we were drinking that day. Swirl it around until it gets frothy and viola! A cup full of bourbon lemon meringue refreshment. They were divine.
