My question is this. My mom is not the most mobile, so I think a cruise is the only way she could see what she wants to see. Has anyone had any experience with these companies? My mom only knows of Viking, which appears to be expensive AF and not offer as much as the other companies do. My mom really wants to see France and Germany (We have ancestors from Normandy and Baden-Wuerttemberg). There are some more local european cruise companies that are much less expensive but I want to make sure they still would offer the comfort my mom needs. I'm trying to treat her well, but also not drop $20K on this.
Thanks for help in advance!

My parents enjoyed some European river cruises--they are on smaller boats than the big Vikings so they can go to better places--and less crowded. The cruise would be quieter than the big ships--which many prefer.
There are also the trains like the Orient Express but they are expensive, as I recall, and don't stop.
Europe also has comfortable buses, unlike the USA. But the beauty of the boat is you avoid packing/unpacking and all the check in hassles that are hard on the older people. And she has the option to skip any land-based jaunts and take it easy.

Yeah I’m trying to think of something that works. I travel cheap and she doesn’t. Vikings just look extravagant for my taste but this one is about her (if i can afford it)
