The Evolution of Lockn

thanks for putting this together--you have been our cartographer throughout the voyage.

Well, one thing we know we can rely on about this map--it will change before we get there!

Man. things seemed so much simpler in 2013 for VIP RV. A 2 minute walk to the Locals tent and then entrance through the same tent, with no search whatsoever going onto the field. I even liked the 2 stages and 2 VIP viewing areas. However, the late night viewing now is much more convenient. It took me 45 minutes to get to the Triangle to see Indecision late night, thank god for the golf cart ride back. And speaking of Indecision, why don't they get a chance at an early time slot.

I liked the old VIP set-up on Steeplechase Hill and the convenient entry; I also liked the side-by-side stages. But that was a long long hike from the stage to the forest, RV's, etc. and in the first years, some of the car camping was in the next county.

I like how Lockn has evolved.  I had some doubts about the setup going into last year, but I was pleasantly surprised, especially with the super short walk from GA RV to the new main stage location. 

The 2016 hike from GA RV to the race track stage in the heat kinda wore me down that year, and I'm not gonna miss that configuration.

for those coming for the first time, they fixed the terrible entrance wait from years 1 and 2. Unless there is a break-down in line, it's sailing and no need to get in line pre-dawn.

Here are all of the maps overlayed onto satellite images of Oak Ridge/Infinity Downs. The scale of the first two is different because the footprint was so much larger. I kept the scale of the last four the same for comparison purposes, if you care...

Here you go. No, I'm not going to do this to all six versions...

But what if the topography has changed? How are we supposed to account for continental drift? Or uplift? WHAT ABOUT UPLIFT!!!
