A festival out west has tested a beer ordering system where you order your beer(s) on your festival app and pay for it with Apple Pay or such. Then you go to a counter where your beer has been poured and is waiting for you. Like the Lockn system, it means that none of the beer vendors have your credit card info.
I’ve been using Apple Pay on my phone for a few years now at the grocery and hardware store, as well as coffee shops and fast food joints. Security concerns? Well I’ve had my physical wallet stolen or lost a few times, but no one has hacked my phone which requires my thumbprint.
