$30 for an RV pass? No hookup but still, that's a deal. I've always wanted to take an "excursion" in the desert. This would be close. Still would love to find a spot way far away from any ambient light. I'm thinking that the mountain in Chile where they have an observatory would be just exactly perfect...

Or we could go camping at Staunton River State Park. It ain't Chile but it is VA's first Dark Sky Park. It's down by South Boston. I wouldn’t want to be on Mt. Mitchel in December. I highly recommend Big Bend as recently recorded.

You could dry camp in the winter. Just bring this...My shits winterized by thanksgiving. Not that I want to, temps in delaware get low enough that I have to.
