So for some time now I have been following the travels of the remarkable Zapp family from Argentina. They started out 18 years ago in a 1928 Graham-Paige car with no children and $5000. Now they have four kids, each born in a different country, and they are still on the road with no money. I got an email from them this morning. They are in Lichtenstein heading for the Swiss Alps, then going south to catch a ferry to Morocco. Remarkable people.
The Zappa in Ireland
i also follow the adventures of an elderly German woman who has been world traveling for years in a 1928ish Hudson, and a fellow who recently did Africa south to north on a 1948 Harley.
But for the kindness of strangers, their trips might have ended long ago.
