Although we consider ourselves to be seasoned festival goers, this will be our first time attending Lockn. Just curious to know if there is an established way the venue tends to follow when parking the car camping folk? Does one field fill up first and then they move on to next one? Do they park the first arrivals at the back of the field?
We are traveling from Maine to Lockn and are car camping. Tickets all set, travel all set. Just looking for an idea of what I'll be heading into when we actually roll in and park.

Last year was the first year of NuLockn, so we don’t have much to go on as far as your question goes. But for sure last year they loaded Wednesday RV front to back. And with the new layout really nobody has a long walk to the main field anymore, not like L1-4 for some campers. Hope this is encouraging info for you.

As you read thru some similar questions to this you will realize that Lockn is highly variable. We really aren't trying to be obtuse it's just that Lockn has been in constant improvement mode every year. There is no consistent pattern that emerges from past Lockns to be able to predict future actions. You will have a blast no matter.
