Hi All, a group of friends are making our first trek to Lock’n. One of the attendees has a family farm 15 minutes away that we will be staying at. Is there transportation, I.e. Uber, Lyft or Taxi that can be used? I doubted it being in the country and all but felt it would be best to ask before purchasing the day parking passes. Thanks in advance for your responses.

There are definitely taxis at Lockn'. Not sure about Uber/Lyft.I'm also staying off-site this year, and decided that a parking pass would be more economical (not to mention flexible and reliable) than paying for whatever transportation was available, twice a day for four days. It will limit the ability to imbibe, but I'm OK with that.Be careful if you're driving - the local constabulary seems to make a practice of pulling over vehicles heading out of Lockn'.Welcome to the party!

Maybe you can enlist one of the locals connected the place where you stay to provide transportation--the farmer, caretaker, B&B host, etc.? Especially to drive you there in the morning? I can picture an entrepreneurial teenager setting this up. Would require some advance effort, though.

If the Lynchburg/Charlottesville Uber drivers don't know to hang around the greater Arrington/Lovingston metro area that weekend, I have no pity for them.
