Alcohol Limits & Lockn' App

The alcohol quantities are discussed at length in the "checklist" thread, and this year they are allowing more than before because it was "or" previously.

The rare exception, but it does happen, is that the searchers will actually count everything and confiscate the overage.

The key to getting through the search process is to be discreet and cooperative. Open one beer cooler and say, "here's my beer cooler" and have the beer loose in it. They probably won't look further. Have your liquor in different bottles in different places. Scatter the beer, too. If I had liquor at home in a glass bottle and wanted to take it, I might just pour it into an empty plastic tonic water bottle and leave the label on.

In my 3x experience they were more concerned about glass than anything.

We intentionally do not reveal smuggling techniques on the forum, because everyone here follows the rules like good campers.

Check out the RV info, too, but on the question of searches, they don't allow knives of any kind, or glass glasses, and many rental RV's come with them, so be sure to leave them behind.

We have always taken more than enough beer and never had an issue. They look for glass and tanks. Also trying to keep people from selling beers.

We've always put our beer on the very bottom of our cooler with ice on top and then food on the very top and they have never sifted through the ice to count our beers. The people doing a lot of the searches are normally very nice as long as you are nice to them, greet them and open coolers up and make their job easy. Every year we have never had a problem getting through security except for last year this one black chick with a bad attitude was tearing through our car like she was on a mission. She wasn't being super invasive but we had grocery bags with chips in them and she started taking stuff out of them. After about 2 minutes I asked the younger girl if we could wrap this up and she told the other 2 ladies "ok, they're good" and the black woman just gave her this glare like how dare you send them on when I'm not done yet. We put everything back together and went on our way, even still they never dug into the cooler.

Good veteran advice for dealing with security checks. I have a jarhead haircut so people think I’m a narc, so that helps. I also dress nice and clean cut. Once I get in I tear that shit off like Superman and get my freak on .

The glass thing is real. Last year we must have had an ex military man searching our RV. He took 15 minutes, climbed over everything and found a Ball jar filled with sand that I put incense in outside. It was in a little drawer. He was angry and told us not to bring it in the stage area. Ok. Like I’m going to carry a Ball jar to watch the music. My husband then told him we do have glass with our coffee maker 🙄. FYI, we are 53 years old and look preppy compared to many others. Theory....DO NOT BRING GLASS.
