I'm planning on bringing my Mtn bike this year to check out some of the trails and to just cruise around the festival grounds a little faster. Trying to get the girlfriend to bring and ride hers but she's being resistant. I feel I never really get to explore the entire festival because it's so large and walking that far is simply a drag so I'm determined to ride around it completely this year!

If anyone else is planning on bringing theirs and would like to check out some trails or ride around the fest a little let me know!

I'm thinking about bringing mine. I coming from Florida so I am trying to keep the weight of my gear as low as possible. I think 4 days of walking will be too much. I've been to a couple 3 day music festivals and was wore out. Plus I have a lot of drive time On Wed before and the Monday after Lockn

The walk has gotten progressively better each year but going from Garcia's to the main stage is still a haul. On bike I think you could circumnavigate the entire camp grounds in 15 or 20 minutes. I'm up for a ride or two for sure especially Thursday after camp gets set up! I'll message ya as we get closer to the date!

I think Friday before the meet and greet would work better for me. I am driving up from Fl and am staying in NC Wed night. Then stock up @ Walmart Thur morning before driving to Lockn about 3 hr drive. By the time I set up my site these old bones will need a rest before Lettuce and Umphrey's Mcgee

Me & my girl are bringing our bikes ! would love to to do a campground cruise . We will be riding over from VIP for meet & greet on friday . We'll get together then & see what we can come up with . Look forward to meeting this crazy bunch !

Sounds good man! Yeah I'm excited to ride with this bunch! We had friends in the High field RV's last year so I briefly got to see that area but I remember thinking I've only seen roughly 70% of the festival grounds so I def wanna explore!

I don't know if that counts the roads in the venue (campgrounds, etc.), which are mostly dirt/gravel/dust, and few places that would be steep to a trail rider. However, the land is constantly hilly, with most uphills occurring late in the day when you're tired.

Others can speak to the trails that are outside the venue.

There are LOTS of woodsy trails in the area. I haven't been on any since Lockn' started, but I used to attend Jeep rock-crawling events there all the time, so I'm familiar with many of the trails. Plenty of riding available. Be prepared for some big hills!

There's a bike station where repairs could be done (at the trailhead near Garcia's), there was a year old map taped to a table, when I went by in the morning and they had updated maps starting later on Thursday.

I'm a very casual 47-year old rider, and I rode almost the entirety of the trails - there were 3 (?) main trails, varying in length and elevation. Hope this helps.

No problem. They have also had bikes for rent and a repair facility called "Wheel House" in the past and I think it's on the real map.
