They check the cars in the lot in the morning (around 10:00 am per the info) and you have to leave by then unless you have a pass for that day. IOW your day pass is good until the next morning.
So you can crash at a campsite (as long as all of you don't go over the 4 head limit) but you have to hoof it out early the next morning or risk being towed.
As long as you have the pass for the right day you can sleep in your car; I don't think they care. But you can't set up any type of campsite or they will get you.
