Fresh meat!

That was my campsite last year. We got there pretty early on Thursday and had to pick that space because there was not enough space for our group of eight camping passes. This was not even a real spot. Just an open area at the bottom of the hill.

Thanks,  It is actually a Hexayurt,  which is made from foil backed foam board.     Here is a webpage from a company that makes Hexayurts.   We built our using online instructions and RMAX board we got from Home Depot.   You have to order special tape to make it so it will fold up and go on the back of a F-150.   The sheets are 4' x 8' and the whole thing folds up to be about 2 feet tall.   It took about 30 minutes to set up, but it took days of work to assemble at home.   We also built a mini-spilt HVAC that ran on solar charged batterys, block ice with and used pumped water and a fan/radiator.    Overall it was quite a project to build and install, and I don't think it is coming back this year.        The big white tents did a great job of blocking the sun, and the HVAC could not keep up with the hot air that came in the door.      If I had been at Burning Man with the extreme temperature swings, it would have been perfect.     

Looking forward to my 6th VIP lock'n, but the Hexayurt is not going to make it back.
