Hey guys.. new to lockn this year and I just bought a camping pass online and wanted to make sure what I got is correct!? They basically just sent a pass that hangs around my rear view mirror that says general admission tent camping... is that all I need? just want to make sure this isn’t just some parking pass for camping area... any info is greatly appreciated!!.. thanks!!!

Welcome to the board! It would help if you could post a picture of the pass, without showing the bar codes. I don't know what color these passes are but it should says something like "GA TENT CAMPING" and have the Lockn logo on it. Yep, that's all you need. That's where we have camped every year. This will be our fifth.

thanks guys... sounds like it’s correct.. I bought the pass from a 3rd party for next to nothing and the last thing I wanna do is drive down from Buffalo and have issues...

There should be a hologram, then "GA TENT CAMPING", then a bar code near the bottom edge of the pass.thanks guys... sounds like it’s correct.. I bought the pass from a 3rd party for next to nothing and the last thing I wanna do is drive down from Buffalo and have issues...

The pic is my Forest campsite from last year. Can someone tell me what to expect from tent camping in the forest area? First timer here and thanks in advance!
You can time your arrival for about gate opening time or a little earlier and pretty much get a very good site. It's anarchy about setting up sites, early birds get the choice sites. But 2 years ago I got the last marked parking space in the forest lot and still found a place to camp. Don't come really late, some people end up camping on the fringe of the parking lot that way. What I do is park, grab a tarp & tent, go claim a space and then finish setup later.
Sites are fairly level and cleared. Bring a rake if you can, there are branches & other forest debris that accumulate since the last Lockn'.
You can pull your car up and drop stuff off at the entrance to the forest area, but that only saves you 30-50 yards of travel, but it IS uphill... I have been able to drive my car right up to my campsite to pack up on Monday - but it was dry both years. I would not do it in the mud.
Total shade, very nice, not too far to the stage field. Plenty of nearby porta-johns.
