Got some friends hooked on LOCKN by hosting them for 1 night ... my buddy looks at me and just says, “Dude... I had no idea.”
As my crew wanted to sit up on the food court hill during Sat TTB, on came Midnight in Harlem, the 1 song from any artist I was looking forward to most - I went and sat down 10 yards in front the speaker array set up there, let the music wash over me until I (literally) wept at the perfection of the moment.
The aforementioned food court area. AWESOME expansion of the new layout. The extra speakers kept it from feeling “too far away” (but let’s get those off the
ground and up on towers next year, m’kay?)

Made some new good friends. Got close with my boys lobster and uʞɔo˥ewbn. Got some nice treats from Andie Bee and smosey wales. Our camp was close to the entrance, so we met a few lovely people that just wanted to avoid the line and get out of the shade. Got to welcome SpaceAmy into the family. She was a joy. The meet and greet was probably our largest yet, and so much fun to have a drone to record the happenings. Got to see WildBill more than in the past years and I enjoyed that. Paced myself better than in past years and have better memories than in the past, although the stories I've heard about my shenanigans in previous years make me laugh greatly. So happy to have hung with Nick, Lobster, Newbn, Krista (sp?), Bob, RJ, Amy, Steve, Vickie, Smosey, Jeff, Pam, Buddy, Lizard, Donna, and many other I saw only briefly and not enough. Hate to leave anyone out. I love all of you. You're the family I choose.

In addition to this family, I am so blessed with great family that all no only gets along but enjoys being together. At Lockn I had both my sisters and brothers in law, three nieces and a nephew. Daughter watching Dead&Co Saturday at home "with me". And about five friends going back to high school or earlier.

I have to agree that proximity to the entrance is a huge plus for me but it's not for everyone. Super bright, nonstop traffic including sheriffs, nonstop loud music courtesy of Mr. B's, dust, nonstop porto doors slamming, etc... Me, I was in heaven because I could see the entrance from my hammock.Loved being camped so close to the entrance and being able to have our camp be a rest stop for some of the group.

I was camped almost as close but over in the small section by the trees, near the ADA entrance. Best set-up ever. No dust or traffic but could hear, scope out the line, have visitors, 1 minute walk.
