Those who went, what do we think? Is this festival worth it? Is it great? I admit the not allowed bring your own beer into certain campgrounds situation and the shuttle has put me off in the past.

I only went for one night but LOCKN can learn a lot from FF. We stayed in Delta Lot and you can bring beer to that one. I'm not a fan of shuttles, especially if I have to haul camping gear (which I don't) but the wait to get the shuttle to the main site was maybe ten minutes and when we left we literally walked straight out and onto the shuttle. This was unusual and was probably because there was still one show left. Those who went, what do we think? Is this festival worth it? Is it great? I admit the not allowed bring your own beer into certain campgrounds situation and the shuttle has put me off in the past.
I don't like overlapping sets or hearing one band bleed over another at certain areas. LOCKN has this advantage by not having either of these issues.
There were many more high quality vendors at FF and the art installations, entertainment such as acrobats, hoopers, etc. are top notch. LOCKN has much room to improve in this area.
My wife doesn't like to be camped offsite because she doesn't want to spend all day on the field so this may preclude us from going next year but we will see.
Oh yea, the music was great!!

This is one of my big hangups about big fests. I used to love Mountain Jam where I would pay some extra dough and camp at the top of the mountain. We could just pop back to the camp for a brew or some food and still here the music. That was awesome. Now these shuttles and stuff, I just don't like it. I like to take breaks. One of the cool things about when I did VIP tent camping (lol, I think I was the ONLY one there) was that I could hear the music clearly from my tent when I wanted to relax.I only went for one night but LOCKN can learn a lot from FF. All the cool kids camp in the Delta lot, where there are no security checks of your vehicle and no restrictions on alcohol, unlike Lockn. In fact, there’s not much in the way of rules other than the Golden Rule. Also, free HOT showers in Delta.Those who went, what do we think? Is this festival worth it? Is it great? Before I went the first time, I thought the whole shuttle thing was gonna be horrible. But it isn’t, and it’s a ten minute ride to the quiet Oasis of Delta. This year in addition to school busses, they ran brand new Mercedes shuttle busses, with excellent air conditioning.
