As I've aged, my favorite camp chair ALWAYS has hard arms. It helps with lift off. My current gold medal winner is a folding directors chair by Slumberjack. If there is one minor knock it's the weight.

The articles say he was angry because the band was playing too loud and he was losing his voice because he was screaming to be heard over the band.

But does the band really have control of how loud they are playing? I thought that was the sound guys area of respsonsibility?

It seems to me to be a pretty common thing in festival sets to have the band members telling the sound guy turn up or turn down someone between songs.

I did sound for almost 20 years and added a fake nob to my board and labeled it “more of me”. The way we did it was working out monitor levels for the stage at either a performance level rehearsal or pre-preformance and then I would turn on the mains and mix the house, room, or outside and then the musicians would communicate any subtle adjustments for the stage/ depending on how the mains changed what they were hearing with the mains. During the performance I would receive advice from attendees. Mostly that was old people saying “too much bass and or guitar.” I would occasionally get the human oscilloscopes that would tell me about the equalization changes that would make it sound so much better.
Years ago I did sound at a fundraiser at a community center and they had their own PA only the system sounded like gravel in a concrete truck when I tried to adjust the sub-mix. One of the musicians was George Brown who won I think a Emmy as the sound producer of the Muppets. That man taught me some cool things. Anyway it’s 4 something in the morning and I can’t sleep so I thought I would throw my 2¢ here 😃
