Sorry for ignorant RV question. Renting an RV for first time this year and will be in Momma Bear lot. They say have 50-75 foot cord for the 30 amp hookup. RV comes with 40’ so was just going to pick up 25’ 30 amp RV extension cord. Is this reasonable? Have there been issues with RV’s being really far from the hookups in the past? Should I go longer? Looking forward to fun on the farm. Thanks

I've never had a problem with being too far from the cord, the person next to me couldn't reach and they just moved him to a closer spot. The only problem I have with extensio cords at festivals is its a potential place for someone to trip over to disconnect or just plain mess with. Unfortunately, people sometimes do.

L1 they said same so I bought 30 amp extension cord. It’s been to a lot of festivals and never been used.

ThanksMy primary cord is 25 feet long and I HAVE needed an extension at Lockn. Your 40 ft primary cord should be ok but there is no guarantee. You can buy one before the fest and sell it afterwards for just a few bucks less on craigslist.

Buy the extension cord. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. The way we setup is to park awning to awning with one of our crew so that we can setup a good size community area between our campers. In order to do this one of us, usually me, has to park nose in to our campsite which means I have to have an extension cord to reach the power distribution box. I bought a 50 footer so I know for sure that I am covered.
