Because I am bitter. They will be in DC on a Tuesday and 10 mins from my house in Cary on Wednesday. That should mean I could go to work (in DC) mon/tues, catch them at the Anthem, fly home Wednesday and see them again with my son whom I have a standing promise to take to any Wilco show within a hundred miles. Instead I have a shitty all hands department meeting all that week for which I agreed I was free months ago. So, I bought Anthem tickets and will suffer whatever consequences occur for walking out of the evening team event and probably miss the opening act. My brother-in-law is also a fan, so he will be taking his and my son to Cary.
But yeah, stoked they are back on the road after too long a hiatus.

I wish. Got sent to Florida for work for budgeting for 2020-2024 for my company. Looked at the dates and just said "goddamn" to myself. I'm sure it'll be a helluva show. Man-O-Man was the DC show amazing. Mainly because I got 3rd row seats. I was right on the center aisle, so the 1st and 2nd rows had no seats in front of me. The set was excellent. I saw and took a picture of the setlist taped to the floor before the show started. Jeff said something towards the end about not doing an encore and just staying out. So when they left the stage, I walked the 10 feet to the stage and stood near the setlist, hoping to get a roady to give it to me. Then, they just came back out and everyone rushed the stage. As Pat, the guitarist, walked out he gave me a fist bump! I was 3 feet from him the remainder of the encore and got this video on my phone (no zoom):
Once they finished, I just reached up on stage and grabbed the setlist...
I flew home to Raleigh Wednesday and took my son, brother-in-law and nephew to the show here. It was more laid back because it was an amphitheater and everyone stayed sitting. In fact I was disappointed at how many at the Anthem stayed sitting. Come on people! You can sit and watch a show at home. Awesome two nights of music, now I need some sleep.
