I got there at 4am last year, and there were only about 30 yards of cars between me and the gate.  By 6 am, maybe double that, or 60-100 yards of the racetrack filled max.  I will probably try to time my arrival somewhat later than that.  I could not sleep for crap waiting for the gates to open.  But other than the 'primo' sites near the entrance, there were plenty of campsite to choose from.

But with this lineup (WTF is that smell of beef???), probably not the fanatic surge of earlybirds.  But I am taking no chances.  I don't want to end up at the very bottom of the Forest area - I don't think that section will be pretty in a heavy rain...

If you have never seen the Forest area, I think it is best described as a terraced gully with several levels of campsites.  Lovely area, completely shaded and cool.  But the bottom is always moist, and I have not seen it in the rain, nor do I want to.

Last year's forest camping was set for 300, and the forest camping area near Garcia's for LF&F was 100. So based on this year's map, if the Garcia area is not restricted, that's another 100. And I think that area is more accessible to the stage, etc. than the other one.

That forest spot was the best camping I've ever had at a festival. I was able to take day time naps. Unbelievable.

Community car camping is sold out. They had 32 spaces for it so that's up to 128 cars there. Good to know the concept worked. It is, however, right far off; that's to facilitate vehicle traffic every day.
Don't know about community RV. It's also right remote.

I have a window sticker that says 'Forest', a green forest wristband and the regular GA wristband.  That will get you in and parked.  A forest camping ticket includes a parking spot in a nearby lot.
