"Backpacks and large bags are prohibited in the Show Field. They will still likely dump and certainly search the "small bags". Last year they had express lines for "no bags". Seems a "bag chair" is a bag so unbag it! stuff the empty bag in with the chair, in your pocket, small bag, etc.. My beach chair has a backpack bag built in. I just carried it in empty and open and top side down and had no problems. YMMV. It's a good idea to empty your stuff, clear bag it, or otherwise make it easier for them. Can any of you recommend a clear backpack that you like? Yea I can look them up and research them but I don't feel like it or want to. I didn't carry one last year but I may need to tote some Tent-Stumblers Unite!! shirts to the meet and greet. There will be a limited supply of these limited run shirts so don't sleep on this...

I got mine on a fluke. Went in Dicks Sporting Goods on a shopping binge (easy up canopy, field hat, folding chair, shower wipes, sleeping pad, etc.) and saw a rack of the clear back packs. I think it was $20 or something. I just said, "I need that" and grabbed one, without much thought. Used it at Floyd (where apparently it was not necessary). Felt like a third grader on first day of school (an innocent, care free feeling actually, and I didn't care who was smirking, if anyone). Got a couple compliments on it.Can any of you recommend a clear backpack that you like? Yea I can look them up and research them but I don't feel like it or want to. Two compartments, a little stiff, worked great on one shoulder, two thumbs up.

Can you sneak out of VIP without going through TSA? Want to toss a bag over the fence? Maybe the bus trip?
I found the searches reasonable when not at peak times, plus VIP gets you through quickly. Maybe just a clear trash bag?

The challenge is I will be leaving VIP before the show field opens and head to the M&G. From there I will head directly to show field through the main GA entrance with said backpack and shirts. Slightly concerned about having said t shirts confiscated even though they are not LOCKN bootlegs...Can you sneak out of VIP without going through TSA? Want to toss a bag over the fence? Maybe the bus trip?

This is pricey at $32, but it's pretty rugged for a plastic backpack. Straps are nice. I used it at Lockn' last year and it still looks like it came out of the box.Can any of you recommend a clear backpack that you like? Has anyone considered the "ol prison wallet," Sure 20 or so XL TShirst will be a bit cumbersome up there, but you'll look like the Easter Bunny while dancing and dropping them everywhere. Let's put that in the MAYBE pile.

So it looks like the bag policy has changed again? Slightly bigger bags that are NOT clear are allowed. Also, larger clear bags with more than one pocket are prohibited.

When you say bag chair are you talking about the standard issue $10 folding chair in a carry bag?
You can hide a lot of stuff there.
Hmmm, what's next - clear chair bags?
What do you guys think - initially, security at Lockn' was focused on keeping out glass and alcohol, at least based on my observation. And items that will cut into sales. Now I think the focus is on safety and keeping dangerous things out. Anyone else noticed that trend or is it my imagination?

I have a clear backpack I bought for last year I didnt end up using that I can lend you (because I dont carry anything to a show!)
I'll bring it by your RV when I stop by to say hello Thursday.
Not sure how many tshirts it could hold though.
