Any good restaurants nearby. Our game plan is to hit up Lockn around 6pm on Wed, got early entry. Game pan is to pig out at a Restaurant before going into the festival. This way we don't have to cook Wed night

Just one that I know of: Lovingston Cafe. It's a dive, but the food is good.
It's on the little access road across route 29 from the McDonald's.

Where are you coming from? Blue Mountain has a very good restaurant/brew pub if you come down off Afton Mountain on 6/151 and there are others along there. There are places in Crozet. Lynchburg has the Texas Inn.
Lovingston Café is good, very basic.

If you are coming south on Rt 29 towards Livingston/Lockn, you might enjoy Dr Ho’s Humble Pie, a popular pizza joint. It’s on the east side of 29 in a little strip mall in North Garden. The intersection is at Plank Rd, but beware, there are many Plank Roads in Va.

For anyone looking for a high-end gourmet food/wine/beer/sandwich shop, I recommend Greenwood Gourmet Grocery. Sadly for us, they sell a lot of bottled products!
