Now its over, questions

Yep, different stroke for different folks.  I love all kinds of music, but what really draws me in is the music that is very difficult for someone to play from a technical standpoint, preferably without lyrics, but to each their own, as I know my tastes aren't shared by many.  Lockn's beauty to me is that music that is popular with 20 something year olds will share the stage with acts that have been around for 20, 30 or dare say 50 years!  The incongruity and eclecticism of Lockn is a big draw for me.  I'm sort of shocked it works, but it somehow does and it's awesome.    However, I can't imagine the same concept would have worked well in a different era. I can't imagine a music festival in 1969 offering music that was 40 or 50 years old in between Hendrix and The Band.    

I think these multi generational festivals like Lockn and Peach are fantastic.  Hopefully they will be around for a long time.  

As for my favs: PPPP was a highlight for me, especially with borrowing the Revivalist horns.  I think their lead guitarist is top notch.  And the rhythm section was also excellent.   I was surprised to see others on here critical of Vulfpeck.  The fact that they kept switching instruments was amazing (each playing 2 or 3). It was sort of a music master class/performance art piece all in one.   Tedeschi Trucks was fantastic (as always) as were the sets where those two sat in with others.  It was great so see Moe out there.  I thought they crushed their set.  I liked last year's Lockn a little more, but thought this one was great too.  

Man, I feel old then.  I'm 37 and that Layla set meant a ton to me - then again I have a close relationship with that album after I "discovered" it in my mid 20s.

Abbey Road. Cant imagine listening to that album on shuffle.

Any word on what weekend Lockn 2020 will take place
In Florida
Need to take 2 weeks foo for this so have plenty of time to get there and go home

I think the new dates are a fantasy. I don't see any large gatherings of people this year
The economy will start back up but with new distancing norms in place.
Sports will become entertainment with no large crowds. They make most of their money via TV anyway. The question is can live music make the same transformation.

What I loved about Lockn was lots of electrical outlets. Makes it a lot more comfortable. My main festival before Lockn was Wanee that also had a ton of electrical outlets. Any other festival with a ton of electrical outlets?
Next Years Lockn. I would rather have Dead and Co rather then Phil. Both would be nice.
