vip camp

Here's my deal with vip. I like to be up front so that the music is nice and loud and so I can see the people playing up on stage. What I dont like is getting to a show early to get the spot I want, only to have some rude, drunk or fucked up person come stand directly in my dancing/standing space. I dont drink or do drugs so these types of situations annoy the piss out of me. Have a little respect for others around you. Being in a vip section will hopefully cut down on the rude, too fucked up people. Ideally I would like to be at the very back of the vip section with a chair and a small blanket so I have room to dance and not get in anyone's way. I dont know about you guys, but I need room to dance and breathe and when people get all up in your space it make the experience less enjoyable, especially if they are rude and inconsiderate. Just my two cents, crazy excited to get back on the farm!

And while we're being territorial, crowded is crowded, part of the gig. While no one wants a big sweaty oaf to plant in front of you
like a screen, I don't get the people with entitlement issues who think they can mark off some 10 foot tantric circle in the middle
of the crowd so they can "dance" like an off-balance windmill. I've had them actually say, "do you mind? this is my dancing space."
Damn trustifarians most likely.

Don't know if this was asked before, but does anyone know the answer to this? I will be traveling solo in VIP car camping. My son, who is a student down there, is going to be coming down for Friday afternoon and Saturday. He will be getting a Student GA pass (not VIP). Will he be able to stay with me in my tent on Friday night? How tight is security going into the VIP Car camping area?

beware the Cheese crew from Oregon and Colorado. costumes are strongly suggested, themes are chosen. many, however, are at Burning Man this week....i just bring my oldest stuff w/ some colorful accessories for funk night.

ok, both you and Worfrat are right.  I wouldn't want that and it wouldn't be fair to everyone else.  Now I just have to figure out whether it's worth it to have 2 tents or maybe move the one tent to the GA area for the time that he's there.

I just read that Burning Man, in a touch of celestial irony, was washed out by major rain storms.

They have single night car camping available for $50. Don't want people driving home wasted, after all...

Good point.  Then again, this is the opposite - sort of like kid's weekend at dad's festival.  Maybe he's the one that shouldn't ask too many questions.

could you please explain the target of your statement a little more clearly? i didn't think my statement displayed envy of anything, and was really a response about those who feel entitled to a lot of personal space, wherever they go...
