Leave all the gear boxes stacked in the dining room because you meant to go through it all, wash some things, reorganize, run camp dishes through the dishwasher etc. Don't deal with it until you are having 30 people over on a Thursday night in the middle of October and need to get the house in order. Oh look there is some red dirt, there's the Lockn Forum sticker I got at the meet and greet, etc. 
And now I only have to waiting three more weeks to organize my (simpler!) departure for Hampton Rds...
