Seems like someone needs to put down the notebook and just groove to the jam a little more...

I've never touched Bobby's butt...

True confession: I sort of accidentally touched Bobby’s butt. It was during the alpine reunion shows. We ended up staying at the same hotel as the band. Bob was hanging out in the hotel bar the night before the first show, post soundcheck. It was pretty cool for me. I’d never been that close to him offstage before. It was very mellow in the bar but getting busier as folks were checking in. This was also the first time I met David Lemieux. Fast forward to the night of the last show. Post show, this same bar was a madhouse. Getting to the bar to get a drink was daunting. I fight my way up (very thirsty) and have one person left to get past. I use a combo elbow/hip check to create enough space and I’m at the bar. The guy I just squeezed next to (we are now ‘cheek to cheek’ So to speak) is saying to the guy on the other side of him “the problem is he can’t tackle, man”. I know that voice. I just hip checked Mr. Bob Weir.
