My primary listening websites are the Live Music Archive archive.org/details/etree and Panic streams www.panicstream.com/
I have a subscription to Daytrotter www.daytrotter.com and though I like the concept I haven't used it as much as I thought. I have mainly used it to listen to artists I already know although I bought it hoping I would find some new things. I just find it is a little jumbled and a bit much to sort through.
I have occasionally used soundcloud soundcloud.com/ to download music from bands on the rise. Not too many times, but occasionally.
I listen to Americana Music Show www.americanamusicshow.com/ pretty regularly and find a lot of there that I like.
There are other apps or services I have tried (including pandora and spotify) but those are the ones I use most.
