While the discovery of agriculture and the resulting control over food supply somewhat inadvertently led to the rise of what we now call civilization, there's a (to borrow a highly scientific term from hondo) metric shit-ton of evidence that it was developed to ensure the supply of ingredients for fermentation. Yeah, yeah, it's a joke. But it's irritating when Crunchy Granola™️ types advocate a way of life in which they wouldn't last two minutes, and it happens a lot. If I could send them back in time to watch them fail utterly, I would.
