My favorite time of year, spring peepers peeping and birds singing. Plus all the beautiful flowers and trees against a stark background.
I'm hoping to sneak in some backpacking if we close shop. Did you see they asked ppl to leave the AT? I would not be hiking there fwiw.

Why would they close the AT? For what it’s worth, I talked the family into going camping next weekend at my secret camping spot in SC. Looking forward to it.My favorite time of year, spring peepers peeping and birds singing. Plus all the beautiful flowers and trees against a stark background.

I don't think it is "closed" they just asked for people to leave the trail and if you insist on starting a thru-hike you should go SOBO. I thought this would be a great time to hike.
