I'm relatively certain I'll be able to overcome any learning curve on the interface, but I was wondering...and if this isn't a feature it oughta be...is there a way to spin off into an invite-only private room for a watch party? Like wouldn't it be cool if you could "sit with" your friends for the show?

A lot of us are pretty techie, but I feel like I need to find someone under 30 for this, and I don't know anyone under 30.

Twitch is my main source of entertainment(5-6 hours a day). Their are no private channels as Sneake mentioned. Discord as mentioned above would probably be the platform to use with screen share in a voice chat room(?) as troubleshooting everyones video will be nightmarish. Sneake probably knows better than me. Another option is stream on Twitch and text chat or everyone multi monitor/device Twitch/Zoom streams.

As a side note if someone who works at a company with a lot of used bandwidth on the weekends was to leave open a virtual backdoor then maybe we could borrow a cup of TB and launch our own streaming platform.

Aw, this is all sounding like more trouble than it's worth. Voice chat was never really the idea, just text. No different from watching a live video on YouTube, except instead of your texts being seen by everyone just a select group of friends. I guess Discord would work, but I'm miffed enough at having to install and learn Twitch. I'm not about to install the nth IM client I've had in the past 30 years.

They'll want me to have Slack next. It has hashtags! Like Twitter! And somehow no one thought of that until recently! What's the worst that could happen?

We saw Billy open for Yonder in 2016 at the Jefferson in Charlottesville. We were mightily impressed by a guy we had never heard of. Then saw him again in Richmond in 2019 at River Rock.

If he does Dead covers for a week (plus some traditional bluegrass), I’m in.
