A little sugar, a little caffeine, lots of vitamins. These things are amazing. I couldn't possibly recommend them enough. Great first thing in the morning, great during the day when you need a little pick me up. They'll get you going but you won't feel over hyper and there is no crash. Get some for the next fest, you won't regret it.

So I got my EZUp as you all recommended and I am wanted to know if I should invest in an outdoor carpet/mat to lay on the ground. Worried about the rain and damp ground. Found an affordable one on Amazon. Do I buy or am I worried about nothing and just wasting my money?

Having a carpet is really nice, but they are bulky, hard to carry, and if it rains enough the ground still can get wet under them and then you have a muddy carpet. Something I found at Sams that works well, is only $20 and portable are these 2'X2' interlocking foam pads. You get enough to cover a 4'x8' area, and if you bought a second one they would hook to the first one. PS these work well to put into your tent also-it's what I put in mine to protect the floor.

We brought an old rug last year for under our EZ UP and we really enjoyed having it. We could go barefoot at camp if we felt like it! I bought a new area rug for one room in our house and then just re-appropriated the old one to be a camping rug. If it gets messed up, it becomes trash. It's practically trash anyway. I live in a college town and at the beginning of June every year the local United Way has a HUGE rummage sale in the University football stadium. All stuff the students have discarded when they leave town for the summer. Dorm size rugs go for 3 for $10 there. I think I'm going to buy a few next year...because if the weather forecast doesn't change for this year's Lockn, the old rug may not even come home with us.

EDIT: The weather forecast has taken a turn for the hot, humid and sunny!!!

Looks like it won't be an issue. Rain is no longer a large part of the forecast for this festival. And I assure you I lug all of my own garbage to proper disposal areas. An area rug is nothing compared to the stuff I saw left behind last year.
