I realize this may not be a very popular thread

. But did anyone have any experience with the Sober Lockn' group meetings at last year's festival? It says on the website that they meet at the Trinity Episcopal Church across the street form the festival. It also says they have a meeting tent inside of the festival and they meet up at midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. I didn't see this last year (I was far from sober) but I've been clean for a while now and I'm really interested in attending and maybe even volunteering. Any extra info or reports from last year would be great.

Best bet would be to contact sober@locknfestival.com for info and requests of camping.

The various groups of sober concert goers was getting 'tables' set up...when the soberlockn thing came along.

We stopped at the tent inside, but did not make it to meetings.

there's also a designated area on the map, in the lower corner of the "Western Ridge" camping area.

I think it takes great spirit and strength to know one's limitations and not let it interfere with being able to still enjoy a scene. A good friend is in the same boat but doesn't trust himself to do something like this.

Sober Lockn' is an actual car camping area. You must have a car camping pass to stay there, and registering ahead through the Lockn' website is highly recommended. My wife and I are staying there, (second time Lockn' alumni, first time in Sober Camping) but don't plan on attending any meetings.

They have sober camping and also a Sober Lockn' tent in the venue. The meetings are held in the garden of the Trinity Episcopal Church across the road from the entrance on Oak Ridge. I'm hoping they have some cool schwag in the tent this year.

Just let them know at the gate you're signed up for the sober camping and they'll direct you from there. The tickets and camping passes are the same. They'll mark your car as sober and lead the way.

Totally agree. I had a cup of black coffee between beers late friday night and it was top notch tasty!
