Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion September 9-11, 2022

This is a great time, although quiet a different vibe from our usual fests. Would love to see some forumites there

Its around an hour and a half from me, I have camped in the past but it is a long shuttle ride away and kinda expensive, maybe around $80-100 for tent if I'm remembering right. They do have powered rv sites at the same location though.

Best bet is to get a hotel that is on the shuttle route or even better walking distance. Pretty limited in walking distance options but there are a couple really nice newly redone hotels $$$ though

I saw the cordovas here a couple years ago. Went in pretty clueless and was very impressed. They had a jam that was some sort of whipping post > mr Charlie > whipping post, I think. Was a ton of fun, great harmonizing lead guitars reminiscent of allman brothers.

And this was a kinda late show in one of the tents so the drummer didn't have his kit set up. It was like he had a kick pedal on a cymbal case instead of a bass drum plus snare and hi hats, probably another cymbal or two. I just remember the bass drum, or lack thereof.

Look forward to seeing them again, hopefully on a bigger stage or in a bar

What an amazing weekend. This festival continues to improve more and more every year. I consider myself very lucky to have witnessed the evolution and growth.

Musical standouts off the top of my head, 49 Winchester (of course), Sierra Ferrell (so damn good), Del McCoury (Del yeah!), Chatham Rabbits, and probably with my favorite set of the weekend Molly Tuttle.

Molly and her band are all so mind-blowing on their instruments, chops for days all the way around, just wow. There was a great jam during the middle of one tune that I actually kinda got lost in and just kinda realized "oh yeah, that's what they were playing" lol. Didn't really expect that. Rolled up a real stinker in case they played Dooley's farm and of course they did. I was a little hesitant to fire it up but with a little encouragement from my neighbors we were blazing down, middle of state st on a sunny Sunday. Great way to bookmark the festival.

Hope to see some of y'all down this way for it one day.

Saw Molly & Golden Highway at DelFest 2022 and they were a highlight for me as well

At DelFest Molly also jammed with Sierra Hull. Would love to see Molly and Billy play together.
