I realize that this is probably a stupid question but I was asked and didn't know the answer so here goes...are campfires allowed in RV camping....again I apologize common sense tells me probably not, but again I didn't know....thanks in advance for your consideration

No tiki torches either. Not sure about candles but they were pretty against open flames that could be left unattended. You can't even have your lighter lit for more than 5 seconds at a time.

interestingly enough, there is another fest (Festy Experience) in the same area about a month later that may be having campfires... i can understand why they don't allow them, but after going to Wanee and ending the night sitting around a campfire, it really just improves the experience tremendously.

I've been to Festy every year but the first and the camp fire situation is completely dependent on the fire marshal or somebody like that. But if I remember correctly (highly doubtful) fires have been allowed the last 3 years. For all you folk near to Lockn' you should check out Festy a month later. Great music featuring the Infamous Stringdusters, 5,000 or so people in a really beautiful valley in the VA mountains in early Oct = awesome camping.

It is a great smaller fest. AND IT IS AT A BREWERY! With camp fires. And a nice restaurant in the brewpub so you can get out of the weather and have a nice lunch. And GREAT music. And nice people. And stuff.

award winning brewery, at that. GABF was going on last year during Festy and there was an announcement from main stage (saturday night?) that they had won awards for a few of their beers and had been named best small brewery in america. they don't seem to mind muddy boots in their restaurant and had nfl games on, like lockn did. there's also hard cider grown/brewed(?) right down the road that is available at the fest. last year was my first, my team is in again this year.
Sue, you are right to want to go. Tiny fest done right.

Made it to the grounds just in time to catch the last Cheese set and on the way back we were bitching about needing gas (not to be used with balloons) and some nice folks took us back to their spot and gave us a canister for a couple beers. Breakfast burritos in the AM are crucialOnly if you toast it over your Coleman stove (which is allowed as long as it runs on the small propane canisters).

I pulled out the info one time...and even asked to have a supervisor come over. The person was corrected - it wasn't their fault...shit changes and they don't get told sometimes!
