I was pretty meh on The Motet until last weekend. First time seeing them live. Kicked my ass. Great dance party. The addition of Shira Elias from Turkuaz with 2 of the horn players(?) really made a great show. Shira is a wonderful frontwoman. Hoping the extra three are there this weekend. Note that the didn't play on every song.

Listening to Andy Frascos podcast with Dave Watts from the Motet right now. Pretty interesting straight away. Apparently the bass player taught Mike from Phish how to slap da bass back in the day.

And to keep it on topic, this is part of a series of peach focused podcasts leading up to the festival. The founders were on for a few minutes at the beginning.

The annual event will begin on June 30 at Montage Mountain and include four full days of live music. For those unable to attend in person, streaming of select sets has been made available via nugs.net.

Andy Frasco and some friends.

He really rocked the Mushroom stage crowd. Had everyone doing crazy shit and then kept his tradition by crowd surfing into the wave pool.

(Lighten up TOO, Peach is a hard festival in the best of times and this was alternately hot as a mofo or raining felines and canines. Recovery time is required.)
