A Year in the Pit: A Journey into Music Photography is a one-hour documentary about still photographers commonly found front stage in the pit at music festivals. Shooting “in the pit” requires intense, split-second decisions to capture the ultimate on-stage moment. The symbiotic relationship between image-maker and musician provides the backdrop for a great story. The film explores the artistry and images of some of America's finest music photographers. The film was shot at at Virginia based festivals including LOCKN', FloydFest, Rooster Walk, Galax, Hoopla, The Festy, The National, and others. Additional footage was acquired at French Quarter Fest, The Hamilton (D.C.), The Regency Ballroom (S.F.), Terapin West (S.F.) and other venues. Additional footage was recorded in Lost Angeles, San Francisco, and Lake Tahoe.

I highly recommend watching this documentary. The sound and video is amazing, turn it up. Lots of great LOCKN footage. This was filmed entirely on an iPhone 11! Lots of photog friends in this one. Make sure you watch until the end, after the credits. You might see someone that you know...

You can rent this film for $5.00 for a 24 hour period. Worth every penny!

I want to know if any of you took the time to watch this documentary. I think it's certainly worth your time and $5.00. The window to watch this online is closing soon so just a heads up. You obviously like music festivals or you wouldn't be here. This doc shows you a side that you may not be familiar with and shows some amazing festival pictures!

Didn't see anything AFTER the credits but I did see someone in the credits. Good ole Ken Weinstein formerly of BIG HASSLE PARKING. I'm so glad that guy switched to media. It's been much easier to get in Lockn lately.

After the credits there was a series of still photos. One of them was of three photogs, Luna Marii the lovely hoop girl, and myself...
