Is there a separate entrance for VIP? What is the earliest you can wait in line? I am coming from Connecticut, trying to plan accordingly. Thanks

I think everyone that is active on this very informative forum are asking the same questions?I considered getting lodging within an one hour drive on Wednesday but the emotions of the festival arriving right around the corner have me leaning toward arriving late Wednesday.It would be an easier decision if they would release an approximate time that the gates open.With that being said,I believe it will be awesome hanging out and meeting friends prior to entry into the festival grounds.Is there a separate entrance for VIP? What is the earliest you can wait in line? I am coming from Connecticut, trying to plan accordingly. Thanks

Last year there was a separate entrance for VIP, and it opened at the same time as the GA gate ~9 am, if I remember correctly. Those who arrived early the day/night before were herded into a field near the entrance. This became known as the Field of Tears, as once the gates were opened, those in the field had to get out by merging into a double line of just arriving traffic. It took some multiple hours to get out of that field. So much for arriving early. Lockn' has stated changes have been made to improve the check-in process this year, and there will again be a separate VIP entrance, but no details of these changes have been published yet.

No one wants to miss the music they paid to see, gates should reflect time to get in before headliners play. If I miss a second of cheese I will be spamming every artist's site, forum, and FB page to argue rights ... I just wanna dance man!!!
