Billy Strings Tour

Yes, two gigs in February in Charlottesville.  Venue TBA.  If it’s at the Jefferson (where we saw him as a opening act in 2016), I’m in for both nights.  If it’s JPJ, I’ll skip it as I don’t particularly care for shows in sports arenas.

We also have two in DC.

Asheville and Nashville (Ryman?)

That would be great!  We saw Lindsay Buckingham there in the spring; his last show before he had to cancel his tour due to catching Covid.

Confirmed that these are at The Jack "John Paul Jones Arena".

So pumped for the 3/3/23 show in Winston-Salem. It's being billed as a celebration of Doc Watson's 100th birthday. Extra stoked as I went to college in Winston and have a shit ton of friends still in the area.

I've got Billy Strings tickets for 7 dates between the RVA show on 11/16 and Winston Salem on 3/4.

So I heard those of you who attended the goose/tab show last night in Fairfax got a surprise?

A buddy is going tonight and is staying at a hotel at the Wharf. He just texted me that he talked with Billy and we should expect a good bit of his new album. I told him pics or it didn't happen, so we shall see.

That might have been the best Billy Strings show I have seen to date. So freaking good!

I drove in to the show with Hondo and friends. It was a sold out show so even the back of the floor by the soundboard was packed. Saw a bunch of familiar faces and ran into some Richmond and Raleigh friends during set break. When I got back to our spot Hondo was chatting with a guy next to us. Hondo’s friend, Rick, came back and immediately recognized the guy. “Doc”? Come to find out “Doc” (Mark) was their RV neighbor at Lockn 1! Hondo and I told him about the Forum and invited him to join in.

I've been hearing a number of songs on the radio from his new album with his dad; it's very good. Should be out soon if it isn't already.

Just got notified that my album is "on the way" 

Even our local radio station, Allegheny Mountain Radio (WVLS), has even been giving Billy air time. All our djs are volunteers, so we get an interesting mix of music.
