Sea-Fever

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

I'll have to ride out and check it out! I love going through there. So you are staying inside for a while--where will you venture out and into the blue?

Hypnotizing ...

are you saying you're lost??

All who wander are not lost. But some are...

I have done almost no sailing so far.  But that's normal.  The ICW is mostly too narrow to sail, so it's all been under power.  A few times I have rolled out the headsail to try to add a little speed.  

On that particular segment offshore the wind was light and mostly on the nose.

The idea here, having done this before and seen most of the sights, is to blow down to the Bahamas as fast as possible where the real fun will start.  We have been having all kinds of issues - from holidays, bad weather, mechanical issues, fog and a continued lack of marina space.  (Really bad in Florida, but as the weather warms up anchoring is more of an option now.)

The pic was taken by my new friends Rick and Cheryl on Odyssey II (and Gerry on Sea Lion), I met them in over Christmas at Bohicket Marina and we have been hanging together ever since.  It's a lot more fun to travel with people, not to mention the additional support nearby.
