This board has been quiet on 2023 rumors lately. Are we getting closer to announcement season? I wonder if given (1) Shapiro clearly has a strong relationship with Billy Strings and (2) Billy has taken off in terms of ticket sales especially in southeast (spring tour has arenas, and theater venues are becoming much harder to score for his fans now), Lockn could make Billy their main two night headliner and build around that. I’m in if the rest of lineup includes plenty of good stuff. I could see Billy and Goose as joint draws they just played together in NOVA. Goose is hitting big with younger demographic now and Billy hits with several demos.

I like the Billy Strings, Goose, TAB & TTB Four Top as the headliners. You got great spots for sit ins, crossover stuff, Tribute sets, etc with those groups.

Going to cavefest this year made me feel think about traveling to Lockn and I had the same feeling. Delaying announcements makes planning hard for me. I realize left-coasters are not the target market but I imagine it’s the same for a lot of people out your way too

A lot of good points, but often the draw for a festival is not a certain favorite, or an OK band you might not go see on its own, but the collection of many acts that (a) won't be horrible, (b) will probably be enjoyable and (c) might be outstanding. And the hope for a surprise.
