Hopscotch released their Lineup this week. No neatly packaged poster .png to post, but a quick list of the bands I am stoked to see. Several of these get regular rotation at the Kuriti Kompound.
Pavement- missed the boat on these guys back in the day, I was in Peace Corps when they hit, but are alt rock legends.
Digable Planets- still listen to their second album regularly. Very stoked about them touring again.
King Krule- I liked several of his songs a few years ago, jazzy weirdness
Japanese Breakfast- they are popular but never got into them.
Alvvays- solid new alt rock band, kinda popy
Dinosaur Jr- meh. But probably know their closer
Margo Price- she got cancelled at Lockn and then came and played for Dryw and my neighbors that day on a blanket. Liking some of her stuff of late and she is popular on the festival ring.
Cut Worms- love their song Veterans Day
Rose City Band- first album sounds like Pink Floyd made an album with Jerry on lead. Some excellent jams.
Sunny War- solid album just came out, actually think many here would like her
Tonstartsbandht- bolding this as my most highly anticipated. Two brothers from Orlando. Lead singer was lead guitarist for Mac DeMarco’s touring band but brothers were making music before that. Super stoney and weird stuff, amazing the sound put out by two people, lots of peddle effects. Known for excellent live shows.
That’s all I know but it’s my dream undercard right now and stoked to have it in my back yard for 3-days at $130.
