That sucks. Hope it happens. No word on why? I know this rich history most of have shared for decades is fragile but I hope it has a few more miles

Doesn't really matter now that the shows have been postponed, but ... We wanted to catch both the Lyle Lovett and Bobby shows in August so I called the Wolf Trap Foundation office to inquire about a membership. Membership levels range from $50/year to $25,000/year corporate sponsorships. The four lowest individual levels are; $50, $80, $165 and $325/year. Each has its own perks and pre-sale dates. The $165/year level is called The Curtain Raiser and its pre-sale date for Bobby was 02/14. Spending more on a membership could get a pre-sale date as early as 02/12. I asked why anyone would do that with an artist pre-sale date of 02/09. She (Helana) responded that artist pre-sale allocations are limited and are generally less desirable. If you want to be near the middle of the stage, or near the front, or on an isle you'll want to wait for the membership pre-sale. We opted not to go that route. We did participate in the Lyle Lovett artist pre-sale and were able to get tickets. We did not get a seat assignment. I called again (Kate this time); turns out they haven't yet worked out the artist allocation for this show. We should find out where our seats are in a couple weeks. A strong argument for joining.
