I haven't tried this, and I usually don't open feeds like these, but this was just too cool. Two separate posts on this tip. Reminds me of doing fiberglass repair.
Strengthen superglue with baking soda also a great tip for removing stripped screw heads

^ Also a handy tip if working on a guitar and the nut slots are too low. Build up material and file to appropriate height.

I bought a bunch of the Bondic uv glue only to discover that it has a bonding life of about two seconds in use. It sat in drawer for a couple years and recently I was repairing an irregular shaped item with epoxy but tape and rubber bands were not employable in this application and it occurred to me to use the Bondic to “clamp/hold” it in place until the epoxy set. A real game changer.

My wife commented the other day about how easy she thought it would be for me to finish the unfinished part of my basement. Replacing gross/junky basement cabinets with new cabinets. Converting an un-used bathroom into a clothes folding area, which would require knocking down walls and rerouting plumbing/electrical.
It's great she thinks I'm capable of such things (I'd give it a 'yea maybe I could do that') but that completely ignores the huge amount of work that it would take.
People who say 'Go Big or Go Home' seriously underestimate my willingness to go home. Like, its literally my only goal.

Maybe you could hire Mr. looseankles. It does look so easy on TV. But I think there are probably some basic 'don't do it that way you idiot' things that apprentice electricians and plumbers learn early on, that get skipped on the TV shows.

The you-tube instructions (70% good advice) and TV shows are an extension of the DIT books in the olden days (mine) in that they make a job sound so simple and straightforward. And almost every DIY job is easy and simple--the fourth time you do it. The first time is usually a disaster, and always takes 10 times longer than it should. So you have to have someone else's house to practice on.
It looks so easy on TV though.....
I can fix (rehang) the sash weights in a double hung window in about 20 minutes and have been through 150' of sash cord between three houses. The first one probably to a half day including two re-do's.
