It seems that the festival organizers would make a statement to clarify this. The message announcing the free album was quite clear on the big screens. Yes....it was put up on the screen. You have to go thru the ticket sales dept. No - I didn't contact them...nor am I in a rush too. They also announced it at the Hartford show....and it's for all shows. The reason....to get to number one on the charts. Downloads are counted toward purchase and listening...so...the more free ones out there...the higher he gets on the charts! Pure marketing! (and it's working!) I understand those buying tix to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on this tour are getting a free download of the new album. Does anyone know if this is true for Lockn'? I want to get the new Album but I don't want to buy it if I'm gonna get it free. I asked on the Facebook page and got no reply.

I'm sorry for any confusion. Unfortunately, the music redemption doesn't apply to festival shows.

I saw it flash very briefly for less than 30 seconds and then turn off abruptly so my guess is that it was somehow left in the light show from a previous show. If I could recall which song it was flashed during I may have captured it on one of my videos.Yes, it was during Petty on the big screen. Not sure how to redeem the offer.

Sorry to argue, but I recall the text being Lockn-themed, like the other times they put text on the screen, and it was definitely there for more than 30 seconds. Maybe they accidentally flashed it again later or something. I didn't stay for the whole performance.
