seems that's a good one to get once you are there--just hitch hike. I know no one does that any more but back when we used to, the
essential equipment was a sign, so bring a piece of card stock and a crayon.
It's the green way to go.
Hints:
Always write "please" on the sign
remove your sunglasses
stand where it's easy to stop just past you
If your destination is a college town, write "ODU" instead of "Norfolk."
