GRAB
You might be asking, "GRAB - What is a stupid name!"
First of all, that isn't a question.
Secondly, GRAB stands for Gordon, Russo, Anastasio, Benevento.
GRAB was a short lived Supergroup that toured briefly in 2006. As some of you may recall, they were actually the opening act for Phil Lesh during a 10-day run that summer (right after Trey finished opening for Tom Petty). GRAB also played a few festival dates; including Bonnaroo, where the project debuted the Bonnaroo Superjam that year (to everyone's surprise). Midway through the show they brought Phil out and dropped a pair of Dead tunes.
The connections are everywhere!
Russo and Benevento will already be in attendance. They just need to snag Mike and Trey, who I believe are free that weekend (at least according to their tour schedule). Phil can join them for a few songs, Trey can come out for a few Furthur songs, and they'll probably move a few additional tickets as a result of snagging a one-off performance from a Phish side project.
I know that there are people who are simply adverse to Trey and won't have any of it. I understand. However, I think GRAB is an interesting option that also embodies the "one-off collaboration" theme that Lockn' is striving for.
(Also, while they're putting together Supergroups, BOOK THE WORD!!!! It just makes a lot of sense and is guaranteed to be one of the best sets of the weekend.)

If we could read their contract we might know if they even have the option to cancel over one guy backing out--"sweating small details"
And the guy from DSO who takes BW's role* would fill the space, well, better than a lame BW himself. Sorry but that's how I see it.

Peach family,
We are pleased to announce two very exciting sets to the Peach on Friday August 15th...
Trey Anastasio Band will now perform 2 nights!
...and...
A Dead Set featuring Joe Russo, Jeff Chimenti, Tom Hamilton, Scott Metzger & Reed Mathis with very special guest Jackie Greene!
Wow, the Peach Fest is really bringing it. Am I the only one who believes Lockn won't add anyone to replace Bobby? Furthur is going to play on and I'm thinking everyone may just play a bit longer.

He would be an annoucement I would be excited about. I want to see somebody with some historical heft and in the same (rough) genre. As much as I was in favor of more Raggae at this fest I don't think a Raggae band would be an appropriate substitute.

Love Tedeschi Trucks, but Derek just doesn't have enough room.
Would love to see them take a set at LOCKN

The latest post reads "Lineup Adjustments to Be Announced" ... in my mind, "adjustments" means they're tweaking the existing lineup.
Assuming they simply change the schedule and fail to add another artist, I'm a bit disappointed by their choice.

but then again it could mean they are working on bringing in someone else...lol...the thing is; peach fest did just that in a day...why is it taking Lockn longer..it seems like they are probably getting ahold of the bands already scheduled and working with them on their set length or possibly changing days they are playing on, if possible....or minimally seeing who is available to take bobbys slots...
