but then again it could mean they are working on bringing in someone else...lol...the thing is; peach fest did just that in a day...why is it taking Lockn longer..it seems like they are probably getting ahold of the bands already scheduled and working with them on their set length or possibly changing days they are playing on, if possible....or minimally seeing who is available to take bobbys slots...
I would speculate that Chris Robinson Brotherhood will get bumped to the big stage and they'll bring in a replacement act for the Shakedown stage. But I really think a new act will be added in some way.

I don't want to jump to conclusions, today's "announcement" could be interpreted several ways. Based on what we've heard and read over the last two days, I think they're adjusting the schedule, not adding a replacement. However, I would love to be wrong about that.
With all that being said, I don't understand why they need to rush to a decision. I'd rather they extend offers to various artists and await a response than hastily shuffle the schedule around. If you're seriously debating a refund, take it. You can rebuy tickets if you change your mind.
I'm resigned to the fact that dreams of My Morning Jacket or another "big" name are unrealistic. But I don't think it is crazy impossible to book someone like The Word (or the Family Band), put them on late night, and move Chris Robinson or Taj Mahal to the main stage. Beats the hell out of nothing.

First, the statement "schedule adjustments that honor the integrity of their vision for Lockn" I don't see how extending/adjusting set times fits into that statement. Then again it may be worded to keep options open.
Second, Lockn is a second year festival trying to establish its brand for the long term. While other festivals like Peach may have different musical focus, they are still competitors and response to headliner/major artist cancellations will be compared. They have made a huge investment in purchasing property and (like last year) the immediate goal may not be turning a profit right away. They lost money last year and expected to do so. I believe this is an opportunity for them to stand out as an emerging leader on the scene for years to come (and this festival isn't their first rodeo in the music promotion game).
The communications for Lockn this year has been incredibly responsive compared to last year. Whatever happens I think most folks will end up really pleased with how they addressed the problem.
Whatever the outcome, no other festival has the kind of artist depth and big names from top to bottom. Can't wait!

Last year was one of the best music experiences I've had and this year's lineup is even better, even without BW. I'd pay $50 to see 10 of these acts individually and I'm paying $200 to see them for 4 nights in a beautiful part of the country.

GRAB
You might be asking, "GRAB - What is a stupid name!"
First of all, that isn't a question.
Secondly, GRAB stands for Gordon, Russo, Anastasio, Benevento.
GRAB was a short lived Supergroup that toured briefly in 2006. As some of you may recall, they were actually the opening act for Phil Lesh during a 10-day run that summer (right after Trey finished opening for Tom Petty). GRAB also played a few festival dates; including Bonnaroo, where the project debuted the Bonnaroo Superjam that year (to everyone's surprise). Midway through the show they brought Phil out and dropped a pair of Dead tunes.
The connections are everywhere!
Russo and Benevento will already be in attendance. They just need to snag Mike and Trey, who I believe are free that weekend (at least according to their tour schedule). Phil can join them for a few songs, Trey can come out for a few Furthur songs, and they'll probably move a few additional tickets as a result of snagging a one-off performance from a Phish side project.
I know that there are people who are simply adverse to Trey and won't have any of it. I understand. However, I think GRAB is an interesting option that also embodies the "one-off collaboration" theme that Lockn' is striving for.
(Also, while they're putting together Supergroups, BOOK THE WORD!!!! It just makes a lot of sense and is guaranteed to be one of the best sets of the weekend.)
I understand the thinking. I am a big Phish fan, I am a TAB fan, I loved seeing Oysterhead, I was a fan of Mike Gordon & Leo Kottke, I haven't seen any other Gordon projects but I am sure I would like them, I was a fan of Benevento Russo Duo, I am a fan of Marco Benevento and I think Joe Russo is the engine that drives Furthur.
So you can't simply label me as a hater when I tell you that GRAB was some of the worse crap I've ever heard. It looks like it would work on paper but it didn't. Sludgey boring crap. It might be better this time around. It literally couldn't be worse.

I think the rush is from the panic that seems widespread over the loss of one artist out of 4 days of music. OK, a big one, but still.
We're getting ourselves all wound up.
I'm not doing anything different so nothing to do in the meanwhile but smile smile smile.
A major and typical three day Virginia rain dump would be way worse than anything missing from the stage. That's my worry stone.

Late in life he became a champion at Tuvan throat-singing. Go figure.
