That's cool. I don't follow Phil enough to know if that's something that he plays somewhat regularly, but jambands of all kids should look closer at covering VU. The stuff is so minimal that it's infinitely jammable. Lou would probably hate that, but he's not around to complain anymore.

That was what was gonna be so great about the initial lineup. Perfect mix of GD and other stuff. I suppose it still will be.

I think it still will be. I think Phil & Friends do a Phil show and then the reconfigured Furthur with John K do our straight Dead set.

Im pretty sure it wasnt Phil & Friends. Thats Phil Lesh & The family band (Grahame & Brian I believe) either way, they play pretty good stuff.
