Wow, awesome post. Seems like a lot of our speculation was accurate. Can you ask your friend specifically if Diggs Mountain Rd will have an entrance? Seems like it would be a good way to get a lot more people in quickly. It would also be really awesome to know which car camping site they plan to fill in first.

This raises an interesting question: will day parkers/single-day ticketholders be allowed access to the campgrounds? If not, they might end up missing one of the more special elements of the festival.

Ok...I've searched the Net and come up empty. What was the incident at Allgood that drove up the insurance premiums for car camping?

After hour bonfires?? This sounds like what happened at POD 4 this year at Roo. Small little stage that had a comedian doing improv and chilling with the crowd until the wee hours of the morning. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a special secret set at these.
