Please don’t throw water balloons at me for bringing this up. Well if you must go ahead. As you all know I have been up and down about coming to Lockn’ but I sold my ticket and finally put it in my head I was not going. THEN…Bob Weir & Ratdog cancel and the person who bought the ticket messaged me that they wanted their money back and I could request a refund from MusicToday. OK. I sent the email to Tix@musictoday.com requesting my refund on the morning of Aug 12. No reply. Another e-mail on the 14th, and again today. Still no reply. Person who bought the ticket from me sends them an email giving no specific information about my name or ticket this morning and gets a reply with instructions and an incident # and has forwarded this to me. My question…has anyone else requested a refund? Do you think I must have a unique incident number? I am afraid to return the ticket without directly hearing from MusicToday. I want to be fair and return the money to that person but at the same time I don’t want to be on the losing end here. :-/I did have 3 other offers to buy the ticket at that time and since this was a friend of a friend...

this may be a stupid question, but did you check your spam folder? wish i could be more help, but you KNOW i didn't get a refund. is it possible that the festival gods are trying to give you one last chance to change your mind? eh? eh?

The festival Gods sent a lighting strike that shut down my computer when I started this thread. Crazy, strange vibes, those Gods.

I have to chime in here knowing both people involved and knowing you are both good people. The person asking for the refund isn't trying to be a pain, they just want to know that you're doing the right thing, which we all here know you're doing. If you'd like to come to Lockn, send him/her the refund and be done with it. Then join us and dance your little heart out. If not, follow Lockn's instructions, send back your ticket which is coded to YOUR credit card not his/hers and send them the refund minus the fees. That person will just have to be patient and wait for the refund just like everyone else expecting one. Situations like these if not spelled out can tear our community apart and I would really hate to see that happen to our family.

Just to ease my mind I called Music Today just now and they have no record of receiving any of my emails. They did say they would honor the refund offer because they believe it is their mail server at fault. To answer those who have prompted me to give in and go I say you make me feel loved. Much needed love. I suppose there's no shame in admitting my depressed state of being. I am going to get better and look forward to future fest.

Looks like Michigan needs to get its head out of its ass.

Not just Michigan, I had to mail one back too, still going to the festival but some people bailed. Mailed it from Maryland on Tuesday, should have been there Thursday. Tracked it yesterday, it had been forwarded to "another address" in my town because the zip code or mailing address was incorrect. Sat there til yesterday, is now in Virginia at least. Address was definitely correct as I copied and printed the return address from the email they sent me with instructions and taped it right to the envelope. After 5 days of the USPS having the letter it was actually closer to my house than the post office I mailed it from.
