Can anyone confirm that it is 30 AMPs? The website has had conflicting 30 and 50 Amp amounts

Last year they were 30 amp only.

I always bring a 50>30 converter. If not needed I return it.Can anyone confirm that it is 30 AMPs? The website has had conflicting 30 and 50 Amp amounts

do you think there will be issues with power surges with everyone being hooked up to power this year?

From what I saw last year I don't think it will be a problem. They had brand new bio-diesel generators the size of semi-trucks. I think this is why they limit to 30 amps, so they can handle the load.
HeHe that made me think of "mamma tried".

So the wife is pregnant (WooHoo!), so I decided to upgrade from our GA car camping and rented an RV from Cruise America and am wondering if I will need to pick up a 30 amp extension cord. I would guess there's at least a 25 ft cord already in the RV to plug into shore power.
We are first time RV renters, so this will be an adventure! Been reading the threads and saw some great RV tips, so thanks! Feel free to send over any other sage advice for us rookies!

25 foot should do you. Last year RV Parking was a free for all in the dark...I imagine it will be better organized this yr.

We had the same extension cord discussion this year. I didn't remember but one of our crew insisted that we used his 50' cord that he brought because the supplied 25' supplied cord was not long enough. He is bringing his own rig this year so we sprung for a 50' 30 amp cord for insurance. if we don't need it we will return it.

We received an email (vip rv) asking if we were running 50 amp or 30 amp. I have an extension cord that i bought for last year (because they said to bring one) and didn't need. It's coming along but I'm pretty confident that I won't need it. Actually hoping to find someone who does so i can offload it.
There was an RV a few down from us last year that was running so much stuff that they kept blowing the box. This affected only the four people plugged into that box. Power dude was totally boss and told the guy if he blew it again, he'd pull his adapter. According to power dude, he really had to try to suck that much juice, multiple ac's and everything in his rig turned on at once. There were no further problems.
Oh, and, uh...about that biodesiel. sure, hug that thought tight and dont let go.

Hey RV people- we are coming from about 8 hours away and want to fill up our water (80 gallons) after we arrive (but before we enter the fest). We are kinda new to the RV thing and have no idea where we should go to fill up the water near the Festival. Does anyone have any suggestions?

At some point when tix first went on sale, I thought I either read on the website or received an email saying that there would be 50 amp in VIP RV, which is pretty much why I bought a ticket there. Then they called me one day and asked if I would like 50 amp. But the last I heard from CID they said VIP RV would be 30 amp only. No biggie, and if I need the power my RV has an 8 kW diesel generator, though I prefer not to run it.

Look for a Loves or Flying J or Pilot Truck Stop. RV friendly, should have a water tap somewhere. I use an app called Truck and Travel.Hey RV people- we are coming from about 8 hours away and want to fill up our water (80 gallons) after we arrive (but before we enter the fest). We are kinda new to the RV thing and have no idea where we should go to fill up the water near the Festival. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Disaster averted.....
Brake Controller on the Tow Vehicle failed when hooking up the trailer.......
Bought a new one...Nope not the problem......
Sons friend came and direct wired it......on the road soon.
